With the purpose that all mankind should know the truth that “Jesus is Lord and Savior”, believers of belthangady region would fervently pray together led by the power of the Holy Spirit. This led to the birth of Christharaja Prayer group on 8.7.2000. Registered as Christharaja Seva Trust in March 2005 the primary mission of the trust is to reach the ‘Good News of Eternal Salvation’ to all the people of Karnataka. Christharaja Seva Trust received permission from the Indian Govt to start the Monthly kannada spiritual magazine named “Antharangada Ale”. The first bulletin was released on 6-11-2008 at Christharaja Seva Prayer hall in Badyar by Most Rev. Lawrence Mukkhuzhy, Bishop of Belthangady.
The first milestone initiative by Christharaja Seva Trust has been the publication of Monthly kannada spiritual magazine “Antharangada Ale”. The monthly bulletin is the fruit of labour and service by several prayer warriors, donors and well-wishers. The book comprises write-ups and articles by priests, religious and lay bretheren who are inspired to write on word of God, texts on lives of saints, Church catechism and exhorting spiritual information . Antharangada Ale is published without advertisements solely relying on Divine Providence and trusting in His Mercies.
Fr Jose Poovathingal has been its Spiritual Director right from the beginning in November 2008, barring a term from 2014-2018 When Fr Binoy Kurialasherry served as Fr Jose was appointed in a parish at Udupi by Bishop of Belthangady. Fr Franklin D’Souza and Br.Jaison V.V serve on the Editorial board while Br.Sebastian P.C is the circulation Manager for Antharangada Ale . The Managing Trustee of Christharaja Seva Trust Bro.V.C. Jose is the Chief editor of the magazine , ably supported by Bro.Micheal veigas who looks after the overall administration of the Trust.
Several initiatives apart from “Antharangada Ale” are part of Christharaja Seva Trust, namely :
Christharaja Seva Trust began its activities initially in Badyar, later in 2009 moved its office to Ujire , both these spaces were occupied on rent.
Television services of preaching the Word of God on local television has been part of services, In addition, Christharaja Trust is shortly launching a full-fledged Youtube channel.
The outreach service of Christharaja Seva Trust comprises of organising regular one-day and three-day Retreats organised all over Karnataka and beyond.
Construction work of an Bhavan for housing the aged, sick, poor and destitutes has begun with the support of donors and funds collected which is heading to be completed soon with the continued support of the members in the ministry. The aim is to reach out the the lost, homeless, sick, addicts & destitutes. Food, clothing, shelter, good medical support along with Spiritual upliftment is the main objective of the Bhavan.
